For sourcing teams

Decide which brands to pitch
before you spend weeks cold-calling.

Wholesale sourcing workflows break on discovery: 200 cold distributor outreaches, 5 replies, maybe one partnership worth the commitment. The other 199 were un-pitchable from the start and you just didn't know yet. Partnership validation produces that signal before you spend the time.

What the engine produces

A pitch-readiness verdict per brand.

For each brand in your tracking list (or any brand on Amazon's BSR top-1M), the validation view shows:

  • Current seller landscape — who holds buybox today, their classification (authorized-looking / unauthorized high-velocity / brand-direct), and their cross-portfolio footprint.
  • MAP discipline signal — how tightly this brand has enforced pricing historically. High discipline + tight operator concentration = locked up. Low discipline + operator churn = signals the brand might welcome an authorized stabilizing partner.
  • Fragmentation score + entry recommendation — rules-based output reading as “high fragmentation, easy to enter” / “consolidated, crowded” / “dominant seller controls ≥X% — needs displacement, not complement.”
  • Entry-opportunity signals — price-softening events, offer-count declines, legacy-style catalog patterns, and new-to-Amazon listings that together signal a brand is strategically open to a new distribution relationship.
  • Suggested entry angle — a short text recommendation per brand drawing on the patterns above. Not a pitch template — a data-backed angle your BD rep can turn into a pitch.
How it changes your workflow

Pitch fewer brands. Close more of them.

Typical wholesale sourcing BD looks like 200 cold outreaches per week, 5-10% reply rate, maybe 1 serious conversation per 50 touches. That's fine when pitching is cheap. It's expensive when each partnership conversation costs weeks of rep time.

Filter the pitch list through validation first and the shape changes: 30 pitch-ready brands with data-backed angles, 25-35% reply rate when the opener cites specific operator pressure on the brand, 3-5 serious conversations per 30 touches. Same end-result, half the rep time, better pitch leverage — because every conversation starts with data the brand's own team can't easily see.
